The Rural Food Bank Blog is a local initiative of area food banks located throughout Huron County, the Huron County Health Unit and the County of Huron. It originated as a way to mark June 2, 2009 – National Hunger Awareness Day.
This year, National Hunger Awareness Day is May 31, 2011.

On the local front, several local champions have agreed to live on “food bank fare” for two days and journal their experiences online. Thank you to our Food Bank Challenge Champions – you are helping to make all us more aware of the important role area Food Banks play in the lives of many Huron County families.
